Super Bowl
Many of you know that I was born and raised in WI! If you have ever lived there you know that you are simply a packer fan at heart! So between us... I will cross fingers in hope the packers win but it is a game and hard to know what will happen. I do have a husband who is a Viking fan so I do enjoy both teams but the green made it there this year so that is who I am cheering for! In honer of this great night tomorrow I have a great dip that has been a hit since the first time I made it and I am going to share it. I did make it for our fun dinner! M is so excited about the food... not sure if she will enjoy the football as much...
Hearty Taco Dip
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
dash of pepper
1 lb process cheese cubed
1 bottle (8oz) taco sauce
1/4 cup water
1 med tomato, chopped (Diced tomato in a can work too. I did not put tomatoes today, all depends on my mood.)
1 med green pepper, chopped
1 can 2 1/4 oz sliced olives drained
Tortilla chips
In pan on medium heat, cook beef, onion and pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the cheese, taco sauce and water; stir in the tomato, green pepper and olives. Serve with warm chips. (I often leave out the green peppers... not a favorite of mine)
